If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be part of the horseOlogy crew, saddle up because you’re in for a wild ride! While our days are filled with the beauty and grace of thoroughbreds, it’s not all fancy hats and mint juleps. Life here is more about early mornings, four-legged coworkers, and caffeine. Let’s trot through five things you need to know about life at horseOlogy—but brace yourself for number 5. It’s the real deal.

1. We Wake Up SOOO Early

You know that saying, “The early bird catches the worm”? Well, here at horseOlogy, we’re the early birds catching the horses! Our days start before the sun even has its morning coffee. If you think getting up at 6 AM is early, try setting your alarm for 4:30. That’s right—before most people have even hit snooze for the first time, we’re already at the barn, ready to greet our equine friends.

It’s not just the horses that need the early start; the whole team is up and at ’em, preparing for a day of grooming, training, and making sure each thoroughbred gets the star treatment they deserve. And let’s not forget, those stalls don’t clean themselves!

2. Take Your Dog to Work Day? How About Every Day?

One of the perks of working at horseOlogy is that our dogs are just as much a part of the team as we are. You’ll often find a dog or two lounging in the office or sprinting around the grass like they own the place. After all, why should the horses have all the fun?

These canine companions bring extra joy and chaos to the workplace. The bond between us is something special—just like the bond between our team members, who might or might not have given the pups honorary titles like “Chief Happiness Officer” or “Snack Inspector General.”

3. Fueled by Coffee: The Real Secret to Our Success

Let’s be honest: the only reason we can survive those 4:30 AM wake-up calls is coffee—and lots of it. Our love for the stuff is so intense that we could rename our barn “Caffeine Stables.” Whether it’s a quick shot before feeding time or a giant mug to get us through a day of training, coffee is the lifeblood of much of the horseOlogy team.

Our coffee machine might be the hardest-working member of the team, constantly churning out cup after cup to keep us going. Trust us, the day doesn’t start until that first cup is in hand—and possibly a second, just to be safe.

4. We Get All The Steps In

Here’s a fun fact about horseOlogy: We don’t need a fancy gym membership to stay fit—we just hoof it around the farm! From sunrise to sunset, we’re racking up steps like a Fitbit on a mission.

Whether checking on the horses in the pastures, visiting the mare barn, or walking over to the track to watch the horses train, we’re constantly on the move. By the end of the day, we’ve walked so much that even our pedometers are asking for a break! Who needs a treadmill when you’ve got a farm to work?

5. We Work Hard, Play Hard

Okay, so you can probably believe number 5.

Life at horseOlogy isn’t all about the grind—although we work damn hard. But we believe in balancing all that dedication with a healthy dose of fun. Whether it’s a spontaneous tug-of-war with one of the dogs, an impromptu race around the paddock (horses not included!), or a post-work gathering to unwind and share a few laughs, we know how to have a good time.

Our team is like a family; while we’re serious about our work, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. After all, the best part of working in the equestrian world is being around horses all day—and if that’s not a reason to smile, we don’t know what is!

Even during the busiest days, you’ll hear laughter echoing through the barn and see smiles all around. We work together, play together, and celebrate every little victory—whether it’s a horse mastering a new skill or just making it through another early morning.
